What should our next study topic be?
Monday, February 07 @ 14:00:19 PST by kristian (246 reads)
ScheduleWhat should our next study topic be? Please make your vote known in the on-line survey. Here are some brief descriptions of the possible topics:
  • World Missions: The significance of World Missions. Look at impact of some ministries like Wycliffe Bible Translators & Jews for Jesus
  • Church History: A balanced look at Luther and the reformation. What issues did Luther face that may speak to us today?
  • A Christian's role and purpose in the workplace: How can Christians be more united? How can Christians be a light at work? How does God use people in a place of unbelief. Think of Joseph's work in Egypt.
  • Roaring Lambs (by Bob Briner): A Roaring Lamb is a Christian who is effective right where he/she is in everyday life. At home, at work, at church, at play, they are making a positive difference by contributing to society, being a role model, and providing positive alternatives in today's world. See http://www.roaring-lambs.org/
  • Cat and Dog Theology (by Bob Sjorgen): http://www.covenantbookstore.com/catanddogthb.html
  • Relationships - The 5 Love languages: http://www.fivelovelanguages.com/
  • The Cost of Discipleship: Description on Amazon.com
  • Leadership: Lessons on leadership from the book of Nehemiah

Creation Myth or Creation Science?
Wednesday, July 07 @ 13:47:49 PDT by kristian (245 reads)
ScheduleEvent: "Creation Myth or Creation Science?"
Location: Club Oracle meeting room
Date/Time: Wednesday July 14, 12PM-1PM
The editor of www.creationism.org will be here, on Wednesday, July 14th, 12 noon at the Club Oracle meeting room, to discuss and defend creation science. Facts reveal that the theory of evolution is flawed. Find out why evolutionists do not want creation to be taught. Hear about the facts that support creation science and how creation really is a science that agrees with all other laws of nature. Paul Abramson will be glad to answer your hardest questions and challenges to literal creation theory - of a young Earth, humans and dinosaurs (i.e. dragons) in history, and the continued lack of any missing links (or other transitional fossils) that stand the test of time. This talk is free! Come to be positively challenged! Bring your hardest questions!
